你以为你高高在上？4 Flat就了不起啊？我呸！呸！呸！呸！呸！呸！呸！呸！
今天到学校要求换 assignment 题目时，被教授“狠狠”教训了一顿。
他并没有责怪我们，只是要我们了解遇上阻挠要积极地去面对和克服，不要一味想着放弃。
他强调不只是在做这 assignment 时，要有如此的精神。
连在生活上也要面对问题并且把它克服，并不是选择逃避。
他举了 4 个例子：
例子 1：
他本人 17 岁就被派到英国求学（教授是一位埃及人，可是在英国完成博士学位）。当时的他离乡背井，非常不适应。他只有两个选择，留下来继续念书，还是放弃的回到祖国。许多的同乡都挨不过当时的环境纷纷回国，然而他坚持留下。
他说：“当时我只是想，一是生存，继续念书，二是死亡。”
所以他留了下来，靠到了他的学士学位。
在他考取博士学位时，也发生同样的事。
“结果那些放弃的人在哪里？他们不会在我的位子上。”
例子 2：
有一位学生来跟他拿 P.H.D 学位，教授就把一份论文让他参考。
过了一个星期，学生回来跟他说题目太难了！结果教授把另一份比较简单的论文给学生参考。
同时教授有给 undergrad（学士学位）的学生 FYP 题目，是 design & fabricate 一架机器。
没想到那 P.H.D 学生竟然要做跟 undergrad 学生一样的题目！
教授说：“你想象看看，一个要考取 P.H.D 的学生，竟然要做一些你们 undergrad 的题目。”
教授说到现在已经 6 年了，我那个要考取 P.H.D 的学生还没拿到 P.H.D，而且还在校园里 walking around。
我忘了另外两个例子。
总而言之，教授的一番话让我醒觉也思考了不少事情。感谢您！
我们也打算继续把原本的题目做下去……
这个学期只拿两个科目，Tribology 和 Cocuriculum (Volleyball)。你一定觉得我会很得空，才两个科目。严格上说也只是拿一个科目。可是你错了！
Tribology 虽然听起来很 power！可是这科目还不算太难，因为有 Dr. Nabil 的指导。
只要你问任何mechnical的学生，一定会告诉你拿 Dr. Nabil 的科目，一定会合格。因为他的教导方式非常容易明白和吸收。
可是这个学期却是我最忙碌的学期。撇开FYP不说，Tribology本身就有 3 个 Tutorial Test，2 个 quiz，1 个 midterm，2 个 lab， 1 个 assignment。
最头痛的是assignment。必须在 Midterm 之前交。
这不是一般的 assignment，我们（6 个人一组，严格上说来是 2 人一组）必须亲手制作 9 个 fiber polymer （一个要至少半张 A4 纸一样大）。
我们的题目是利用甘蔗（sugarcane）和 glass fiber（玻璃纤维） 做 hybrid fiber polymer。
最困难的一个项目是要 extract 甘蔗的 fiber。
我们必须要把甘蔗彻底洗干净，然后要一根一根的把它的 fiber 抽出来。
甘蔗在清洗时会发出酸味，因为里面的糖分发酵了。所以重复的清洗才能彻底把酸味给清除。

抽出来后还要确保 fiber 到一定的长度，太短的一律作废。然后要把 fiber 的细小的丝丝给拔掉，确保 fiber 没有小分叉。

然后要帮 fiber 做 NaOH treatment。
浸在 NaOH 后要把 fiber 晒干，接着就要做 mat（草席）。
想想要把一丝丝细小的甘蔗 fiber 像做草席般把它粘起来，而且要整齐，加上 fiber 之间的距离一定要一样。
甘蔗 fiber mat 和 glass fiber mat，我们至少要各自做 50 片。幸好 glass fiber 不用经过任何的 treatment。之后就得把两种 fiber 结合！

2008年2月：
新年的到来使大家都忙着为华人盛大的节日作准备，当然我也不例外！
到处购买需要的新年用品，对我来说只是新年服装。可是也必须购买一些食物 + 饮料，以便招待前来拜年的朋友。
年28就开车北上槟城。下午到达就赶紧到“宫吃”去享用一年吃一次的槟城laksa。
当天晚上就在我安叔家吃火锅，也喝了不少酒，弄得浑身发烫。

年29晚在婆婆新家吃团圆饭。我们一共开了3桌，爸爸兄弟一桌、成年孙子一桌、小孩孙子一桌。也是吃火锅！因为婆婆想要看烟火，所以就call了我堂哥带烟火来放。

年初一，今年住在婆婆新家，所以今年的新年也特别早起。因为婆婆家使大家会聚集的地方，太迟醒会留下不好印象……嘿嘿！

年初二到外婆家。这两天也没什么特别，就收红包 + 吃年糕饼 + 赌博 + 看电视。

年初五返回马六甲，路上虽然多车，可是幸好没塞车。
年初六就回到熊山来继续上课了！

好久没上来了！足足有48天！就在这里做个总结吧！
2008年1月：
实习刚结束，可是最后一个月的薪水还没拿。
幸好前两个月的薪水也没什么花到，哈哈！
实习结束后，和雨到KL去三日游。
在3天内逛了Sungai Wang Plaza，Times Square，Pavilion，Mid Valley 和 One Utama。也顺便买了新年服装。
我们都不必担心住宿，因为就寄托在雨的弟弟的宿舍。所以开支也不大，就花费在吃喝玩乐。 ^o^
结束了旅游，就忙着赶实习报告。
50页的报告不是闹着玩的！多担心报告的页数不够！到处请教朋友有关报告需要包含的内容。
终于把报告给赶出来，呈交给大学的supervisor后，朋友竟然告诉我：“你的页数的format错了！”
我不管了！反正就pass-fail的科目，也不用更改重新print了！

So, we solve it by placing a CPU fan on it.
First day of work after a long long rest through New Year Eve and I was feeling so exhausted, not because of insufficient rest but rather it's more of a mental exhaustion.
The game I am playing, Travian was getting rather out of hand. My villages are starting to get attention from other STRONG players around me. I'm wondering why they keep attacking me all of a suddent without any reason. I was messaging with one of the attacker, and he claims that he "thought" I'm not playing anymore, and he doesn't want my village to go to a waste. What a sucker! Making up his own reasons to cover up his misdeeds.
Anyway, I went to Wednesday Pasar Malam at Bukit Beruang to take dinner with Ming. We were suppose to meet and eat and then go for DoTA at the Cyber Cafe.

I went for DoTA with 9 of my friends. We played 2 games which had different team mates. But the teams that I'm in lost their match. My hero for the 1st game was a Lady Archer with Ice Arrow (I'm not good at the Heroes name). My 2nd Hero was Lich... I played terrible with this Hero, although this might be one of the best hero in the game. Well, what can I say? I have no talent in DoTA-ing. Especially those heroes that I had never used before. (~_~)" Sorry guys for feeding too much!

I went for my Chinese New Year shopping early this year because I wanted to shop during the 2007 Year End Mega Sale.
I'm not sure whether the so called Mega Sale is really "Mega Sale". Some unethical shopping complex may raise their price tag and said there were discounts. Actually the price after discount is just the usual selling price.
Up till now, I've bought 3 shirts. I'm planning to buy another one, plus a new jeans.
